Why More Pregnant Women Are Having Scans

More and more pregnant women are undergoing CT scans, exposing themselves and their fetuses to radiation.

That's the findings of a new study showing there's been nearly a four-fold rise in the number of women undergoing the scans over the last two decades.

Pregnant women are warned to minimize radiation exposure because of the potential health risks to the developing fetus.
