One year ago, at the height of tensions between President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong-un, a shocking alert sent terror through the hearts of residents and visitors to Hawaii.

The alert sent to radio, television and cell phones said a missile was on its way, and that it was not a drill. But that was just a mistake.

Philip Yun, executive director and chief operating officer of the Ploughshares Fund, told KCBS Radio Anchor Melissa Culross that the scare highlights how we're one human error away from catastrophe.
