U.S. Agriculture Department Spending 3 Billion Dollars to Get Farm Products to Food Banks

While farmers have had to destroy crops and euthanize livestock during the coronavirus pandemic, some states have begun spending more money to help pay for food that might otherwise go to waste and sending it to food banks as demand rises. 

The U.S. Agriculture Department is spending $3-billion-dollars to help get farm products to food banks.
