UC Berkeley Study on How Aid to the Poor Helps the Entire Community

A new study from U-C Berkeley and National Bureau of Economic Research finds that when you give cash aid to poor families, it has a positive ripple effect on the whole community.

The study followed 65-thoousand families across Kenya for 18 months. Some received a $1-thousand dollar one-time cash grant.
