Protests Today Feel Different Than Those of the Past

Is this time different? The Black Lives Matter protests that have followed the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery by police officers have happened in all 50 states, and in at least 16 other countries. They echo past protest in St. Louis and Los Angeles and the civil rights movement in the 60s... But whether it's a growing civil unrest or the Covid-pandemic or a combination of things. These protests feel unique.
