A deal has been reached to allow a group of homeless mothers, calling themselves "Moms 4 Housing" to stay in a home they occupied in November only to be evicted last week.

The deal allows the home's owner, Wedgewood Properties, and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf's office to sell the home to the Oakland Community Land Trust, a nonprofit that buys properties and converts them to affordable housing.

KCBS and Chronicle Insider Phil Matier explains how the deal came to be and what the implications are.
