Parents Who Need to Work are Concerned Over the Future of Remote Schooling

Schools in the US perform the task of educating children, but for many, schools also provide the watchful eye parents need to be able to go to work. 

With school districts across the Bay Area and the country scrambling to decide whether to allow children back into the classroom amid the Coronavirus Pandemic parents are left wondering whether they'll be able to make a living. 

Elizabeth Ananat is an economics professor at Barnard College and a former Obama economic adviser. She has been surveying a group of 1000 hourly service workers on the impacts of these closures. She joined KCBS Radio earlier today.
