On Monday, Oakland High School teachers are planning a work stoppage and will march nearly two and a half miles to City Hall.

They're upset with the lack of progress in negotiations between the teacher's union and the Oakland Unified School District, in a city with skyrocketing housing costs, stagnant teachers' wages, and other issues affecting faculty and students.

For more on this, KCBS News anchor Scott Lettieri spoke with the chair of the science department at Oakland High, Suzi LeBaron.
