Misconceptions Hurt Middle-Aged Workers

It's bad enough losing a job at any age, but it's particularly difficult for people in their 50s.

An analysis of employment data from 1990 to 2016 by ProPublica and the Urban Institute shows half of the workers who entered their 50's with a stable job were laid off by age 65.
