How Does Trump's Pick For Chief Of Staff Size Up
Earlier today, President Trump announced on Twitter that his pick for new Chief of Staff is Mick Mulvaney, his current budget director.
Mulvaney is a former Republican congressman from South Carolina. Elected during the Tea Party movement, he's considered one of the more ideologically conservative members on Trump's team.
Mulvaney will be replacing John Kelly, who Trump ousted last week.
KCBS Radio's Jeff Bell and Patti Reising spoke with Chris Whipple, the author of The Gatekeepers: How the White House Chiefs of Staff Define Every Presidency, which is now out on paperback with a chapter on Trump.
