Hong Kong's Chief Executive Makes a Concession to Protesters

The heated political situation in Hong Kong could be cooling down after Chief Executive, Carrie Lam announced that the government will be withdrawing an extradition bill that sparked massive protests in the city for the past few months.

This issue was a major demand of protesters, who at one point caused the airport there to be closed at a very busy time of year.
