Drugmaker Gilead is justifying the price it's setting for potential Covid-19 treatment drug remdesivir by saying it could save those who take it approximately $12,000 in other hospital charges.

They've set the price at more than $2,000 for government agencies and over $3,000 for private insurers per treatment.
