College students are suffering from anxiety at a record rate.

A group of researchers with the Berkeley Institute for the Future of Young Americans found the rate of college students 18-26 years old who have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder has doubled since 2008.

Richard Scheffler is a professor in the graduate school at UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy and the School of Public Health, and led the team of researchers. He tells KCBS Radio anchor Jon Bristow that anxiety disorder is reaching epidemic levels.
