Air Conditioning Use To Drive Global Electricity-Demand

The number of air-conditioners worldwide is predicted to soar from 1.6 billion units today to 5.6 billion units by 2050. That's according to a new report from the International Energy Agency which finds the AC units could account for as much electrical use in 2050 as China uses today.
