Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Gets More Diverse

The shutdown of filming in Hollywood has given the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the presenters of the Oscars, time to think about their promise to make their industry more diverse.

As a result, the Academy has welcomed over 800 new members comprised of women and members of a variety of ethnic and racial communities.
