(KCBS RADIO) - Well think of it as a hangover that arrives in the mail a few days later. KCBS Radio's Megan Goldsby reports the abundance of online shopping means an increase in buying while drunk.

"We've all been there in terms of how one wanted one or two too many..." Jon Brodsky, Country manager for Finder.com says. But instead of sleeping it off, a lot of us are shopping it off, he says. Finder.com which compiles numbers annually on drunk shopping.

"The Amazon app is there and you say 'oh you know something I really want to buy that thing,' 'Oh I like that!,' '...and I like that too.' And pretty soon you're up to a couple hundred dollars to spend. That's getting shipped to you." Brodsky said.

In fact, he says the average amount we're spending is almost $450.00 per checkout. With Gen Xers are spending an average of almost $750 each time.

"Every time you drink you lose a little bit about inhibition and you're like 'Wow! you know, I deserve this don't I? And I need it. I really need it.'" Brodsky said.

Apparently we need a lot more than we did last year when the average came in at $206 per tipsy spree. One thing you can do says Brodsky, is not store your credit card information on your phone.

It will make it just that much harder.
