Meet James Beard nominated Hawaiian Chefs, Michelle Karr-Ueoka and Wade Ueoka the culinary minds behind Michael Mina’s “Trailblazer Tavern” at the Salesforce East building building on Mission Street, San Francisco.

Their culinary journey is a fascinating one and their recipe for success is the love story that unfolded while both were working on the line in Hawaii. The pair were working at Chef Alan Wong’s in Honolulu when love came to town. There was no looking back though Chef Michelle did inform me: “It took Wade a while to ask me on a date, he eventually did and 8 years later we were engaged”.
