Alleged SantaCon Vandals Surrender To Police After Viral Video

Two women turned themselves in to San Francisco police after a widely seen video showed them wreaking havoc at a Polk Street restaurant during the controversial annual SantaCon revelry

Videos shared on social media by a regular customer shows one woman striking the glass door to Shalimar, a Pakistani restaurant, with a chair while another reveals the other suspect throwing an object at an employee. 

An employee told police on December 8, the day of the SantaCon pub crawl, that the two women appeared intoxicated inside of the restaurant.

One of them falsely claimed that she had paid, but not been served food, according to the police report. When the employee refuted her claims, the woman allegedly became violent, knocking over the cash register and punching the worker in the face, The other woman then shattered the glass door, San Francisco police said. 

Scenes of the melee were shared widely on Twitter and Facebook with the regular customer asking for others to help identify the women. 

On Tuesday, the police announced that city resident Natalie Alcantar, 21, had surrendered and been charged with vandalism while Hannah Baughman, 21, of Pacifica had been booked on charges of vandalism and battery.
