SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS Radio) -- A new report on the technology workforce shows the Bay Area remains the nation's biggest center for high-tech jobs--and is still adding them faster than any other place in America.

The report from the Computing Technology Industry Association says there are more than 750,000 people working in tech-related jobs in the Bay Area.

The next-biggest concentration of tech jobs would be in the New York City area--which has a much bigger overall population but about 15% fewer tech jobs.

The report also shows tech hiring is not slowing down in the Bay Area.  The San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward metro area and the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa-Clara metro area ranked number-one and number-two in the country in the number of tech jobs added in 2018.

And here's one more factoid: adding it all up, one of every eleven jobs in the state of California is in the tech industry.
