Kidnapping Suspect Captured And Missing East Bay Teen Found Safe

HAYWARD, CA (KCBS Radio) - An alleged kidnapping suspect was captured and a missing teenaged girl found safe in the East Bay, hours after authorities issued a statewide Amber Alert on Tuesday evening..

Isabelle Epps, 16, was found at the BART station in Pleasant Hill hours after the Alameda County sheriff's department announced that she'd been abducted from Hayward by a suspect driving a Honda Ridgeline. 

Police in Pittsburg had earlier detained the alleged kidnapper, Antonio Aguilarelizarrag and found his car, but not Isabelle. 

Sheriff's spokesman Sergeant Ray Kelly said the incident started at 2 pm when Isabelle's family reported that she may have been abducted.

Isabelle was able to make a phone call to 911 and sounded like she was in distress, according to authorities.
