CHP Says Driver Was High On Marijuana

FREMONT (KCBS Radio) -- All northbound lanes of  Interstate 880 were shut down for more than 8-and-a-half hours Tuesday night and Wednesday morning after a massive crash left three people dead and five others injured. The crash involved at least five vehicles.

California Highway Patrol Officer Manuel Leal said authorities arrested a man on ahcrages of driving under the influence. Leal said the man was under the influence of marijuana. He also said other drivers had reported seeing the man driving erratically and at a high rate of speed before the crash.
