Dozens Of Homes Evacuated During Solano County Brush Fire

A vegetation fire has been contained in Solano County near Cordelia and Fairfield, according to the Solano County Fire Department. 

Evacuation orders for 50 homes near the blaze were lifted around 3:15 p.m.

The fire had reached 4-alarm status about 45 minutes after breaking out at 12:45 p.m., the fire department said. The flames ignited near Cordelia and Lopes roads, according to authorities. 

No buildings were endangered, officials told KCBS Radio. 

Pacific Gas and Electric had said earlier that power could be cut in parts of Napa and Solano counties this weekend because of a high risk of wildfires. 

Cal Fire issued red flag warnings for parts of the Bay Area from 11 p.m. Friday through 5 p.m. Sunday because of rising temperatures, strong winds and dry conditions.
