Here Are Things To Do In The Bay Area This Week

How can you be at a loss for things to do this sunny July weekend?

Check out more than 200 arts and crafts vendors at the Los Altos Arts and Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be live music, libations and a play area for kids at Main and State streets in the South Bay city.

Who does July without firing up the BBQ? There will be 40 pro and amateur pit masters going snout to snout on Saturday at the 10th annual Clayton BBQ Cook Off in four deliciously carnivorous categories, chicken, pork ribs, pork shoulder and brisket. Don't forget your wet wipes if you head out to this East Bay event.

Burn off those calories on Sunday at the 10K AIDS WALK in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Afterwards, put your feet up and enjoy an impromptu concert when the San Francisco Botanical Garden's popular Flower Pianos program sprouts back up for another year. There will be 12 pianos planted across the park's 55 acres that are available for anyone who wants to play. It runs from Thursday, July 11 to Monday, July 22. Check out this video from last year's event.
