PACIFICA (KCBS Radio) - The U.S. Coast Guard has called off a search they were conducting Thursday morning after finding a debris field in the ocean near Pacifica on Wednesday afternoon.

Crews discovered pieces of a wooden boat, life jackets and clothes in the water, but there were no reports of missing vessels or accidents.

Parts of the boat that washed ashore were marked with the words "Rio" and "Barca." The Coast Guard has also released photos of some of the wreckage.

Anyone who recognizes the boat or knows who it might belong to is asked to call the Sector San Francisco Command Center at (510) 399-3547.

Coast Guard officials said they're prepared to reopen their investigation if they receive credible information.
