More parts of the Bay Area have been added to PG&E's map showing where electricity could be intentionally cut while there's a high threat of wildfires.

Possible power shutoffs were extended to parts of San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.

In all, 303,000 customers in 25 counties could be left in darkness when strong winds commence Wednesday.

PG&E has conducted several Public Safety Power Shutoffs this fall when there have been a combination of powerful winds, low humidity and warm temperatures. Some wildfires in recent years have been spark by malfunctioning or damaged PG&E equipment in similar weather.

Forecasters expect the wind to subside and reduce the risk of fires on Thursday.

Now, out of nine Bay Area counties, only San Francisco is not threatened by power outages.

Check to see if your home or business is included in PG&E's possible shutoff area by clicking here on the utility's website.
