While we're mighty proud to be celebrating 50 years of all-news on KCBS Radio, we have to be honest: the concept wasn't invented here. Our sister staton in New York, WCBS Radio, had launched the format in the summer of 1967. And as part of their 50th anniversary celebration, reporter Wayne Cabot tracked down the origin of the term "Newsradio".
