Flying in and out of SFO can be stressful. If you have an early morning flight, it may behoove you to spend the night at an hotel near the airport. Kim Wonderley takes a closer look at your options in this version of the Road Report.

Staying at an airport hotel may not seem terribly sexy, but it can still be luxurious. There is now a game changer at SFO.  The Grand Hyatt at SFO recently began welcoming it's first guests.

It holds the distinction of being the only on-site hotel at San Francisco International Airport and is the first hotel to have its own dedicated AirTrain station. AirTrain is the rail system that connects to SFO's three terminals and BART.

The Grand Hyatt boasts 351 sound-proofed guest rooms, two restaurants, a spa and fitness center as well. All of this comes at a price, with rooms beginning around $400 a night. But acknowledging that many potential guests may just need a nap between flights, the Grand Hyatt at SFO also offers day-use rates that start at $125 for use up to six hours between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Or think about one of the nearby hotels that offer flexible options like the ability to leave your car long term while you enjoy your vacation. Check out the nearby El Rancho Inn, an historic property on El Camino Real in Millbrae. It's part of Best Western's Signature Collection. Rates here start around $200 a night, but a bit more if you choose their Park/Sleep/Fly packages which includes up to eight days of parking. They also offer airport shuttle service.

Other hotels near SFO also offer packages that include leaving your car while you jet off including, the Regency Inn, the Millwood Inn and Suites, and many of the chain hotels like La Quinta Inn, the Days Inn, and the Marriott Fairfield Inn.
